Does anyone have a 50-year-old car that doesn’t drip a drop of something from somewhere?

My car doesn't leak, yeah right. If I beat on my bracket car, over the course of the season it develops a leak or two. When I first see any sign, I get the car up & find the problem. If you have a 40-50 year old car, no matter how much time, money, blood, sweat & tears you put in, it will eventually develop a leak. My suggestion is to find them before they cause any problems & do what it takes to rectify the problem.

Yes I have a 3 60’s mopars that don’t leak a drop. If you have not gone through it all then yes they leak.

Yes the more you use it the more change of developing a leak. Seems to happen. Get on it before the bottom looks like a road Oiler truck and it can stay nice.

If people tell you it can’t be done, it just means they don’t know how to do it, yet.

My Roadrunner pinion yoke seeps a little as does my A833 but a rag wipe keeps the garage floor dry and I drive the car a good amount. Well 3k a year....that's all I can afford! 440 and manual steering box are dry.

The old Harley Davidson guys would say
" If it ain't leaking better fill it with oil "
lol, I resemble that remark. :poke:Actually, none of my Harley's leaked for long. It's easier to address those issues quickly since the motor isn't between a set of fenders.

The only leak I have is the pinion seal and it's a very small drip I can live with. The engine and 727 are drip free that makes me HAPPY.

In the 70s I was with a friend of mine in a Triumph motorcycle dealership, and he asked the salesman how come all the bikes on the showroom floor didn't leak and the salesman said that's because there is no oil or fuel in them.

Engine - front seal, rear seal, oil pan

Transmission - front seal, rear seal, shift lever, throttle position lever, speedo gear, pan

Differential - pinion seal

Master cyl - cover seal.

Where doesn't it leak!

Neither of these leak a drop of anything. I now have the '69 Swinger absolutely drip free as well. Oh and the push button auto '64.. not a drop! The Bird is a work in progress but we'z getting there with the fleet!
