The collectibility on them has gone way up lately. They're not built like that anymore! I looked for years and last year found one that was a total barn find. Then accidentally got two more since then.
My grandpa had one when I was a kid. Many of my cousins and I proceeded to ride it like we stole it. They're tiny little mowers and built like little tractors.

I fixed my old truck steering wheel with bondo sanded and painted a few years back and its still going and looks good
These days I hesitate to throw ANY old parts away. They’re always coming up with ways to repair stuff.
