Just wanted to let all members of this site know about doing business with a certain member of this forum. THis member bought a kickdown linkage from me back in february, i shipped his part and then gave him tracking nubmers from fedex. Well, long story short, fedex lost that part and after a week or so of dealing with them, they sent out a refund check. I then turned around and sent him a money order out refunding his every penny and cost. Then i get an email asking about the money order, he claimed to never have gotten it, so i canceled it and sent out a new one. well, i was concerned cause i hadnt heard that he had gotten it, so i emailed him to find out and the guy responds with the following

"No, I did not receive any money order nor did I receive any kick down linkage.

All I got was a lot of BS, I have given up on you.

This is my first time being ripped off by someone on a forum."

Now i did everything i could to help this guy and he has been nothing but angry at me even though i did everything i could to help solve this situation and now ive got to go into the bank and cancel yet another money order if he hasnt cashed it already. I have been completely honest with this guy and its NOT my fault that fedex lost his part!!! I have all papers documenting this situation and each time i sent out the money orders. This member is Tadjou and while i know hes a long time member here, still be leary of doing business with this guy. Again beware of Tadjou!!!!

Sorry this happened to BOTH of you. Sounds like several mishaps, (Murphy's Law), perfect example.

Also, maybe more communication via phone to settle instead of calling him out on this board.

Just my thoughts,,,,,,,,

I know where you are coming from... I have been there as well!

tried to communicate and help out but got nothing but attitude so i quit, im not trying to call him out, just warning others to be prepared for attitude is anything happens like this

It's unfortunate that you've had problems, but from his standpoint, he paid and has gotten nothing. I don't understand why after having two items sent and undelivered you didn't send the second money order certified mail.

There are a ton of people online that will blow smoke and tell stories just like yours, except that's all they are, is stories.

I'm not taking sides but I am curious as to why you think the buyer received nothing? There are allot of scammers out there that will say they didn't get it when they did. I'm not saying he is one by any means but it sure sounds funny that he never received 1 package and 2 letters. That's a pretty poor percentage. In fact that's more than I have ever had lost in over 500 transactions online.

I do agree that in all cases that little .50 cent delivery confirmation or better yet a certified letter is well spent. I always use it no matter if I have dealt with the person for ages.

fishy68, Just wondering can you do .50 delivery confirmation with a regular stamped letter ??

Sorry dukeboy, Not taking sides here. Feel bad for both of you in this situation. :hmph: Sometimes sh** happens,,,,,,,, I agree with a few others wondering about 3 deliveries that supposedly never arrived.........:wack:

I assumed that the buyer received nothing, because that's what the poster claimed. He said that FedEx paid a claim on a lost package, so that means package number one was not delivered according to FedEx. And if he was able to cancel a money order, apparently it was never cashed. So if the guy received it and lied about it, but didn't bother to cash it, he's a pretty bad scammer.

As far as the second money order goes, we have no verification as to whether or not it was cashed, so we don't know for sure.

I just find it weird to read a post that basically says, "this guy paid me, and I didn't deliver the goods, and I don't seem to be able to return his money, so don't do business with him because he gave me attitude." Some people hate PayPal, but at least there's a "paper" trail of payments and whatnot. There's no wy I would have sent a second money order without requiring a signature.

i havent checked with my bank yet to see if it was cashed, ill do that tomorrow, i did send it both times via delivery confirmation(have the recipits in hand) and it showed it was delievered both times, so i dont know what happened after that. my first thoughts were that he losted it or it got thrown away but now im not sure. fedex tracked the orginal package to his regional depot in CT but thats where the trace ends, nothing afterwards. I pretty much done dealing with this guy, he acts like its my fault fedex lost it in CT when it was shipped from indiana so i havent seen it since i gave the lady at fedex the payment, got my recipit and left. Im not the one that lost it, and i went above and beyond my scope of my duties as the seller. I shipped it, it was reported never recieved, so i called fedex, got a refund sent out, refunded his money TWICE via certified money order from my bank and i still got attitude from him and claims of not recieving it. I did my job, and now im just letting the rest of you guys know to beware of this member.

I didnt thnk to require a signature on it, i have the paper trail showing that i upheld my end of the deal and refunded his money and that the money orders were delievered.

 The guy pays for a part.....you ship it....it's lost in shipping...You attempt to refund his money, twice?? So you drag his name through the mud on a forum, which he is member. Makes very little sense to me.........

I have had good luck with members here and on several other forums I frequent.

I too have had good luck with dealing with members here and on other forums but if everything Dukeboy says is true it's makes perfect sense to me to warn others that the guy is hard to deal with. Not sure why you don't understand it after you even acknowledge that he tried to refund the guy twice but still say it don't make sense to drag the guys name through the mud. Again taking Dukeboy's word that all he said is true I sure wouldn't want to deal with a person like that. Would you??

I am not doubting Dukeboy....but he got paid and shipped his part. He is not out money correct??

I would have a hard time dealing with the buyer after reading this...TRUE, but I am sure the buyers account of what happened will be different. Just seems when people have negative dealings with members they either --didnt receive the part or didnt pay

A signed receipt takes care of all this

Dukeboy said he sent 2 money orders to reimburse him so if that is true he is out money 2 times over and the part.

You are correct that a signed receipt would substantiate things alot. I always use them just in case of a situation like this.

One was cancelled and he hasnt cancelled the other yet. Seems a phone call between these two could fix this is all, emails dont always cut it.

I know Tadjou personally and he is not the type to try and scam someone. There has to be a logical explanation and I would try to contact him directly and work it out.

Something is wrong. Surely it isn't Fedex who lost the money order.
I'm thinking mailing address screwup. I get other peoples mail quite often due to similar street names. ie Woodland Drive, Woodlawn Drive, Woodland Way.. just one digit in a zipcode can loose it.

I really didn't want to drag this out in a public forum but since I have been bad mouthed I need to set this right.

I sent dukeboy a money order over two months ago for a kick down linkage. He received the money order no problem.

He shipped my part via Fedex and Fedex looses the part. I contacted dukeboy about not receiving the part and he was rude to me. So I took the initiative and contacted Fedex myself and was able to get the claims department to confirm the package was missing. I then sent the claim department contact info to dukeboy who needed to verified that he was the shipper and he needed to file a claim. Dukeboy then apologized to me for being rude claiming he had a similar problem with a mopart member. (I have all PM's to prove what I say)

Dukeboy writes to me that he got a refund for the part. He now has "my money" and a "refund" from Fedex. But don't do business with me?????

I PM dukeboy about refunding my money because I haven't heard from him in several weeks and he said sorry, He said he totally forgot about sending me my money. He said he was on vacation and would send the money right away.

Wrote to him again asking about my money and he said he lost my mailing address so I PM'ed him my address again.

I have been selling and buying parts for years on here and other forums including my own forum and ebay with 100% success and no problems and have 100% positive feedback on ebay.

I understand Fedex screwed up but how hard is it to send back a money order. I sent dukeboy my correct address and have PM to prove that also.

I am frustrated with Dukeboy and wrote off this small loss but did not expect to read about it in a public forum. I have been very patience and courteous these pass couple of months. I feel like I was given a bunch of BS and was ripped off, that was the only negative comment I made to him and again have PM's to prove it.

Don't do business with me because I send money in good faith to you(????)
I am man enough to deal with you personally and felt no need to make public your inadequacies until now.

Dukeboy....keep the money.

This sheds a whole new light on the subject.
