Just a quick question. How would I remove the factory data plate from my drivers door and reinstall on another door? The data plate looks like it is a sticker type and I am not sure of how to remove to put onto a new door i am refinishing for my car. Any help is appreciated. Thank You - maniac

You cannot remove them... they get VOID all over them if you try.
There is a company that makes repros of them.
What I did on mine was took a high res pic of it then cut the steel around it to keep with the car.

When I get the money for the repro I can then send them the pic to make sure I get the correct replacement as there are several different ones depending on where and when your car was built.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link......I had to peel mine off when I painted my interior doors and it left the big silver VOID texts where the sticker was and I have been wondering what the heck I was going to do about replacing it.

I can still rear what was on the label .

no cash to make it happen now....but I did book mark the page for when that day comes.

figures 1972 the sticker price hikes up LOL
