Will aluminum wheels that are drilled for slicks leak if tires are mounted and no screws are used? Each wheel has 4 holes drilled in it.

Fill the holes with silicone if it makes you feel better.

The screw in the hole is not air tight anyway.

I've seen people tap the hole, screw in an aluminum bolt with locktite. Then grind off both sides of bolt. Works better with cast wheel that are thicker lipped.

I've got two torque thrusts with brass screws done that way. I never had issue. Just the brass color stands out.

If you are going to run the wheels on a street car, go buy some stainless bolts. Put them on the holes and grind the flat, from there mix up some two part epoxy and put it over the ground area. When you are on the street, you'll be one of the cool guys running race parts on the street.

I've got three pairs of wheels with screw holes (two pair of cl, 15x12 and 15x14, one pair of ramcharger steelies) with no screws installed (yet!) .
None of them leak air
Just make sure the inside of the holes against the bead are smooth and de-burred, before mounting tires.
If I was worried about it, I'd shorten a set of wheel screws, take the points off, and screw em into the wheel, with some rtv. For appearance only.
Other suggestions in this thread are good too!
