I’m have a parts list to have my b and t drive shaft change to a slip yoke. Seen from a different post. I have a 4 speed and upped my rear to a 8 3/4 with 7290 yoke. With needing a new drive shaft, do both yokes on the the drive shaft need to the same size?

TIA

No.

As a historical example, 1970 AAR Cudas, Challenger T/As, Cuda 340s & Challenger 340 cars had the small U joint up front and a larger one out back.

Carmen, This just for reference. I had it done for my 64 Belvedere.
Local drive train shop made a slip joint/flange using a slip joint from a front shaft of a 4 wheel drive.
Also had one done for my 63 Valiant.Works well.

Depending on your HP out put and how hard you drive the car, Diff Dr also have 1350 size slip yolks. And drive line shops have the weld yolks as this the size used on full size dodge trucks…
