I have seen a few different offset numbers used over the years. What measurement do you use? A-body drive line centerline is offset toward the passenger side of the car 1 1/4" , 1 3/8" or 1 1/2" ?

Closer to 1.25... If you want to get real technical it's between 1 1/4 and 1 5/16 measuring out 8.75 rears.

Its actually angle degrees offset so the total will vary with length of the drive line.

Yall are all wrong. It's a portasnorkle off to the right and a peedlepod away from center.

Go measure some rear ends with a pinion centerline gauge and get back to me... :)

tti header instructions say the difference in measurement from each frame rail should be 2.5" which is 1.25 offset, but, that's a real close shot and 1/32 or 1/64 isn't going to make a difference

I have only done 2 Rear ends for an A Body on the same car. Both were shortened. My calculations on both were in between 1.25" - 1.375". Don't matter which rear you use the offset will always stay the same.

I measured my stock rearend and got 2" offset. I measure this Ford 9" and get 4.125". I measure transmission in car and get 2"
