I need to replace an often welded and leaking driver side exhaust header on a 1971 Duster with a newer 360 ci small block. The one I need has an offset down tube between the third and fourth pipe that allows the header to clear the steering gear box. I have all but exhausted the internet in search of a new or used one, plus asking all the local parts dealers. Any suggestions for a source?

Any help would be appreciated.

full length headers? seems like there are three types available. cheap ones ( hooker competition,headman,flowtech...etc) that are all basically the same and then dough or tti.

top are tti, lower are the standard hang low cheap type.

We installed a set of Doug's on a 72 Duster 340 4 speed car with no problem. We jacked the engine up and installed them with new motor mounts, making sure everything cleared as we lowered the engine back onto the mounts. My OCD came into play as we lowered the engine and we slid the engine back and forth slightly until we cleared the steering and the torsion bars.

a pic of what you have now may help.
neil.
Thank you for responding. I took pictures but you can't really see how the header looks, nor the gear box. However, I have a solid lead on a Sanderson that looks like it will git without having to redo the entire exhaust system to meet yp!

Thanks again!

Thanks for responding. I have a lead on a set of Sanderson's that looks like will work and that are a little morw affordable. I really appreciate you responding and now have a bakup plan if the Sandersons don't work.

Thanks again!.
