I know this has been done a million times so I figured i,d ask instead of xperimenting. What is the easiest conversion to a dual master cylinder on a 66 model and what parts do I need ,proportioning valve master cylinder etc. Also any part no.s or donor car info will be much appreciated.I am not converting to discs and will be keeping the drum brakes. Brakes are manual.

1966 was the last year mopar used a single master cylinder,,just find a sorce you can check rock auto .com or any local parts store,,or any mopar magazine,,just get a dual master for 1967 drum/drum,, make sure you tell them drum/ drum as the valving internaly would be different for a disc/drum. you can get a proptioning valve from what ever body you have for a drum /drum,,, or just put a adjustable valve in the system in stead of a poportioning valve to control the nose dive,, use the same push rod as the car has in it now,,very simple conversion since you are not switiching to disc/drum

Here's a pic of a distribution block that I found for sale somewhere, probably on ebay, but I can't remember. IIRC, the seller said it would replace the distribution block on a single circuit mc car & allow an easy way to plumb a new double circuit mc, seperate the lines front to back, & have it look correct. I think that the price was a bit high, maybe around $30, so I thought I'd figure out a different way to do it.

thanks guys ,looks like a cakewalk.Nice idea on the adjustable brake valve as im gonna run it at the show and races and i can remove some of the rear brakefor my burnout.

well if your wanting to do burn outs,, while your changing brake stuff,, put a line loc on the front brakes,,,makes it much easier to do burn outs with out burning your rear brake pads up,,,,and if u have a stick shift makes it easier to sit in traffic on a hill,,,not wearing out the clutch
