This will be my fourth year in a row attending the duct tape drags. It’s a damn fun event. Anyone thinking about going?

I’ve always wanted to attend and race but the 2100 mile trip to get there is a bit prohibitive. If I tow my heater there, I’ll be looking at approximately $2500 in round trip fuel costs.

That overdrive in the heater is looking pretty good right about now…..

It’s a great weekend but I wouldn’t say it’s worth towing practically across the country for. You’ll be disappointed you drove that far for this show. If you were within the 6-700 mile range I’d say totally worth it.

Update, I will not be going to Tucson this weekend. My girl has had some health issues recently (blood clots) and the Dr said 6-8 hours in a car probably isn’t the greatest idea. Trip canceled. But I will be going to the kickoff meet and greet at the NHRA museum in Pomona. Sad I’ll miss the event but we’ll make it next year.
