this next month (after payday) I am planning to order a dukes of hazard horn for my dart to put between the grille and radiator.

The question is: has anyone ever tried one of these? this is the one I am looking at on ebay.

Any experience with them....do they really sound like the movie?

Never heard one that was 'like the movie' - get you a good wolf whistle, or a genuine motor driven siren, or a bull horn - or all three - if you want to get noticed. No kidden.

I used to have one back when the "Dukes of Hazzard" was on the air and it worked great but back then they were made in the Good Ole USA. Don't know about the sound quality of the imported ones that are out there now.

make sure whatever one you get that it plays the last note... a lot of them leave the last note out for some reason...

most just use a second button for the dixie horn. the stock one will still work that way..

i did know a guy that put a switch in so the stock horn button would operate either horn..

Sounds logical. I know if someone was running a light or stop sign on me I wouldn't want to give them a musical serenade,:D
