Duster quarter window latch

Is there a way to tighten the latch holding the rear quarter windows open? I open mine, go for a drive, hit a bump and the windows partially close themselves.

Yes, there is - and I don't feel it has anything to do with the roll pin in the hinge mechanism.

The mounting hole in the glass is fairly large. Loosen the screw where the hinge attaches to the glass. Push the hinge as far forward as possible while tightening the screw. This may or will create tension that will help hold the window more securely in the open AND closed positions. Give it a try.
