Dusters and Demons

Thanks Guys. I Am Very Fortunate To Have This Car Espesially At My Age Of Only 21. About 2 Years Of Eat, Sleep, Go To Work, And Work On The Car. And A Big Thanks To My Dad Who Helped Me Build The Whole Car. Money And Time Well Invested.

-Thanks Guys For All The Compliments

Enjoyed scrolling through all the befores, durings, and afters...getting some great ideas for my girl...
She came to me from New Jersey without a front grill/bumper/lights attached, no exhaust attached, a Scamp front driver's quarter panel, and a wicked dent in her back driver's quarter panel...but she ran pretty steady once jumped to get off the car hauler and she didn't have much rust at first glance...
After sitting inside and outside for 6 years, she's finally getting the attention she needs...she may break me by the time she's done, but I'll be smiling from ear to ear.

Ok you said no matter the shape... Lol my poor old 70 Duster as found in salvage yard! It was left for dead back in the early 80's! Surprisingly the car is actually a very solid and original starting point! It’s just a little beat up from all the years of neglect… To get the green one I had to buy the red one too. It was originally from the north east and was literally rusted to the roof! I think the only thing holding it together was 5 gallons of bondo! But at least it provided a few miscellaneous parts for me and then I passed it on to another guy to part out. I haven’t seen my Dusters with the painted roof like mine but sure enough the red parts car was a Gold Duster with the painted top…

What a pair FJ5....love the potential and it's great to have a cannabilization car right at hand...enjoy rejuvenating!

Thanks! I should get back to work on it sometime this winter… I became a little side tracked with my 97 Ram. Long story short my clean up on it turned into a full frame off, but it should be done in the next month or so...

I just picked up this '70 Gold Duster yesterday. I am now only the car's second owner. :glasses7: 117k, 318/auto, P/S, A/C. I would consider this a survivor as it has been fairly well taken care of it's entire life. I have the original dealer paperwork and every service receipt for the car and even the original title. Original stickers and such appear to be all there plus one I hadn't seen before. Best of all, it is cancer free!

Great looking survivor. Consider yourself very fortunate.
Mind saying what something like that goes for?
