I,m thinking on buying the V8 conversion kit from schumacher for a 66 dart 6 to 8.Do I also have to buy bigger torsion bars??Thanks.

You don't absolutely need to, but given the additional weight and performance capability, it would be a good idea. The factory installed larger diameter bars for that reason. A brake upgrade would be well worth considering with a V8 swap as well.

340 or 383 bars will make a big difference if you would like firmer handling with a V8.

Hey guys,Chief I,ve already got the brake stuff from a 73 donar car,and Dave I,m not really to much into handleing, mostly strip with a little street driving. So you say they put the bigger torsion bars in from factory?small are .000?? big are .920 can you give me a number on the different sizes. Thanks

For the strip work, leave the small bars on and use drag shocks (90/10). This will improve weight transfer. As long as the car isn't seeing a lot of street time, the setup will work for leisurely cruises, to and from the strip.
