Early ignition coils!

I'm trying to find out how the early ignition coils look! The one to the left is dated week 25 of 1965 and the one to the right week 32 of 1973.

But check out the coil from my unrestored one owner Dart 65 with a datecoded coil frpm, week 40 of 1964. Totally different, both the text and the numbers!

How does your coils look on unrestored early A-body cars? Specially interested in late 1964 and ealry 1965 cars.

???? Why does it appear that both of 'em say ECU/ dist on the negative terminal?

i don't think any are original coils, the two top ones say ECU and look like the bad repop type or mopar over the counter general replacement. this style is correct for 67-70 not sure on 64/65

I think it's just a replacement from Mopar. I will clean out my orginal coil to get a great picture of it. Can it be that the 64s had a different coil?
