Hi Y'all
I have a 67 cuda i am redoing, drivers side and passenger side door hinges are slopped out, doors sag. Was going to rebush the hinges, required drilling holes larger for bronse bushings and such. Came up with an easier way.
The door hinges are not listed in mopar parts books as LH and RH specifically. Just upper and lower part numbers. This saved em on tooling costs, this also saved me a bit too.
I took the passenger side upper and lower pair off my 4 door parts car front door, then went to the salvage yard and grabbed another tight set from the passenger side of another mid 70s dart 4 door.
My thoughts are the passenger side doesnt get as much use as the drivers side, but they are the same hinges so they work. Plus if they are off a 4 door theres less weight hanging on them to wear em out.
check em before you buy em tho make sure they arent sloppy by moving the door up and down and feeling for play before you waste the time removing them.
I still have my original bcuda door hinges, and may rebuild and rebush them at a later date since having a bronse bushing as a bearing surface is a pretty smart idea, but if your not into doing that this is easier and quicker, also the lower door hinge is the same as 66 to 70 B body cars too. Not sure about the upper hinge.
This will work for all A bodys 67 to 76 not sure about earlier cars.
Hope this helps someone
