Is anybody running an Edelbrock #7177 cam in their LA engines?
I got this new cam & lifter kit with an engine deal and was wondering if it would be good in a 1971 Duster 340,2.02 U heads w/ 273 adj. rockers, 340 exh. manifolds, either a TQ or edelbrock carb(cfm???) A833 o/d with 3.55 Sg
Any opinions or experiences with this cam would be greatly appreciated

My opinion is this cam opens and closes the valve slowly and could be replaced with a better cam for more power. Since you have it allready, running it wold not be a crime. Realize Edelbrock ported there iron heads to come up with I think it was 392 HP. This was before the aluminum heads came out.
Lose the exhaust manifolds.
Use a 750 cfm carb or a T-Q.
Tires size dependent, the 355's will work well (RPM wise) with a stock or slightly larger sized tire. (Usher in lots of wheel spin.) I'd look at 3.91's and a 26 or 27 inch tire. 60 series wide.
