Emergency Brake Help Needed 67 Cuda

Trying to put the emergency brake cable back on my 67 barracuda. I know where it goes through the firewall but then i'm not sure. I know it goes through a hole in the crossmember and mounts there with a clip, but how does it go from the firewall to the crossmember? Do it go through the inner fender because I don't think it should ride under the frame.

There is a gap between the drivers side floor pan and the frame rail that the cable will just slip thru that will allow you to get to the cable mounting point on the crossmember.
