Mopars engine bays were painted body color.
I prefer Body color.

Unless you are going to paint the outside of it Black, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate seeing an older Mopar with engine compartment painted black or the trunk in gray splatter, buy a chebby if you want it to look cheap

There is a fad of "restorers" of painting the bottoms of cars body color. Yes, it looks good. Is it correct? NO. And how many people new to the hobby are going to know that? You think it will help perpetuate ignorance of what is correct and what isn't? You bet. And doing a Mopar engine compartment to look like some POS Chevy does the same thing.

Your engine compartment looking bad? Greasy? Scratched up? Yeah, take the lazy way out and paint it, and everything in it black. Shoot the tops of the shocks, the brake lines, wiring, the WIPER MOTOR......yeah. Class. REAL class.
