I recently picked up a 68 cuda convert. for a winter project. It came w/no engine or tranny but according to the build sheet it had a slant six when new. I would like to put a 318 in it if possible. Will this fit without any major modifications? Thanks Pike

The motor supports are different . A later model K member with failsafe spool type mounts are recommended. Adapter brakets for the slant to V are available. V8 radiater will be needed too.

Don't forget about the brakes, (unless they are already front disc). Most likely, you've got 9" drums at all 4 corners. At least upgrade to 10" drums.

Welcome to FABO! If you're converting from a 6 to an 8, you're in for quite a project but if you get the right parts, it'll all just bolt in. A donor car would be the best way otherwise you'll be on a treasure hunt for a lot of it. There are many threads on here that have covered the same subject so do a search in the various forums and you'll get a lot of opinions and advice. The first thing to decide is what you want to have in the end.....a cruiser? race car? show car?......and build accordingly. Have fun!
