what about new bolts like grade 8 ones that I use for the motor on the engine stand, but correct length for the motor to trans

The factory bolts are probably grade 5, but overkill is just right on these things. The grade 8 bolts should be fine.
 
I wanna say they are 3/8"-16, about 1 1/4" long bolts that would be installed in the car. Then there are two larger, 7/16"? bolts. Any ace hardware or truevalue should be able to have what you need

Quick way to see what diameter bolt it is, is to just grab a wrench and stick the open end over the bolt. 3/8" bolt will just clear a 3/8" wrench..
