Took the dart(318/904)out to check for leaks, fan fitment etc. Stopped at neighbors house(next door) to show it. After a few minutes ready to leave,no start. Had gas no spark . Pulled it home let it sit a couple hours cooled off started up no problem . Would the coil do that ?ballist resister? Ideas please. I plan on wraping the headers to lessen the underhood heat.

I had a coil that would screw me over. If you have a spare, that's an easy test.
bulkhead connector would be where I would start .
Have another coil but neg. screw is messed up. Will try a new one,felt it probably is coil!!
Will also check bulkhead connection.

was coil hot? If it failed I think it would be cold.
did not check for hot coil. Made sure wire was tight
Did it quit while you were running it???
No....then it really shouldn't be the coil. Check under the distributor cap, bad/ corroded contacts , rotor. Cheap caps these days expand when hot, add some corrosion and it could be your issue.
