I am putting a 408 stroker in a 71 dart with around 390 to 400 hp. The car will be equipped with a ford 9 inch and will have a TCI tourquflite streetfighter tranny supoosely handles up to 450 hp.Also I am having a custom carbon fiber driveshaft made. Tires will be nitto 555s Any ideas on what I may turn? I think the car will weigh around 3000 to 3200?
 
what gear , what stall converter,what carb,what heads , without knowing the rest i guess mid 13`s to high 13s
 
with the W2 heads, I would think you would be making more power. What is your cam and compression? Stock stall then?
 
I'm sorry guys about the stall. The stall will be 2500 rpm . Compression will be 9 to 1. I will have fiberglass bumpers on the car as well not stock ones. Cam I am not sure of. It is the 408 stroker engine from summit. I do not believe it states what cam it is equipped with.
 
If the car weighs 3200 and you get 360 at the rear wheels it should go 11.30-11.50 at 115-117

Is it the Blueprint Engines crate from Summit? If so, they have 2 versions.

375 HP with .474 lift cam

435 HP with .484 lift cam
 
Its the 375hp one. Im new to this so sorry if I give you misguided info or something. Im thinking the car will be right around 3200 though. 11s is good for me
 
With the 375 horse crate, you would be around 325-335 RWHP. I would guess high 12's with the right torque converter, gears and traction.
