Exhaust manifold to head looks good, however the flange to exhaust pipe is not pretty.

Took it to my machine shop and they don"t have a way to clamp / fixture the manifold to do this.....

I may post a pic but you get the idea,

Any ideas???

Photos would help. Years and years ago, I used hi temp silicone on headers with good results. Might even be somethin' better nowadays.

Blast it and fill the pits in with JB Weld.

Manifold gasket surface at the head-pipe? Some machine shops have what amounts to being a really big belt sander. They're frequently used to resurface the head side of exhaust manifolds and both sets of flanges on attached intake/exhaust manifolds, like used on the /6's, so that they stay the same thickness.

Failing that clamp it in a vise and try a bodywork type long board with 36 grit. Be careful to not alter the angle of the flange and to keep it flat.

Could you change to a donut gasket type assembly ?

I've no hope that JB-Weld is a long term fix for that kind of heat.
