Fabricated A-Body spindle ideas and discussion

Yes, more static. But the VSusp website does give some dynamic visualization to it.

I'm not looking to design a completely new suspension, only maximize what we have within some constraints, like not relocating upper or lower inner pivots. There are at least 4 potential static roll centers a lowered TB A-Body might have using off the self parts, and I wasn't sure which one was the better direction. I had planned to replicate the height of the the F-Body spindle with a 1" longer UBJ, but now will look at using the shorter A-Body spindle and standard UBJ. I might dial in some more SAI though to reduce the scrub, since I am moving things around anyways.

@DionR this doesn’t help you out at all with your desire for a tone ring on the front hub but a 350z uses a bolt in, sealed front hub that wouldn’t require the special through bolt that the Mustang hub needs. And they’re also 5x4.5 lug pattern with a favorable hub-to-spindle bolt pattern.

Thanks! I will take a look.
Just went back through and the 350z and 370z are all 5x4.5. Also, I may have been wrong about the abs tone ring as well! Isn’t that what that window/cutout is in the back of the hub?
