        no sleeves needed. the rotating assembly also been balanced. just need to be freshened up it been sitting awhile.

            Hate to tell you all. But all the blocks are the same regardless if it says HP or not. Kinda like the X on the sb heads. Doesn’t mean anything

              Oh I agree with you.
              I was just wondering if they were supposed to have the H.P. on them or not.
              in fact, a lot of the blocks that I have seen from that era have the front motor mount bosses in them so they will fit A-Bodies or anything else for that matter.
              I'm just trying to clarify things for you and help with your sale.......

              68 a bodies 383 do not have HP. The A body 383’s are the only ones with a piece of the block cut off on the driver side. plus by the vin you Know it was in an A body (for the numbers guy). If you care about that any block will work.

              i believe the a body block dimples on left side are cast heavier vrs normal b block bill
