Factory X

YES! I'm excited to see this new class run and hope it replaces the Pro Stock class in the future. I may have to make plans to go to Gateway to see them run in September.

Man th elast race I was at "New Year at maple Grove" Dec 30, It was 1/8 mile ,no prep track. Flashlight start and cameral finish line. The real powerful big tire car guys were wrecking their cars . it got squirrely at half track with the lack of track prep. it was sad how many cars wrecked and I got tired of waiting fo rthe cleanup...it was sad watching the guys smash into the wall I saw 2 and one almost wrecked. i left dont know what happened after that. I do remember thinking "racing in december, i have to check this out..." it was in the 50s temperature wise nice day. they should have prepped the whole 1/4 mile track IMO.

Hope they make them keep the stock body instead of some ugly pill with stickers.
From the link in PBR’s post.

“Each body must be OEM dimensional, meaning there can be no alterations to the bodies, and each must feature steel-roof and quarter-body panels, and the chassis on the cars must meet 25.1, 25.2, 25.3 specifications.”

Factory X is going to be pretty good. If NHRA doesn’t ruin it.
Depends on how much Chevy cries again since they can’t rpm like a HEMI can which equals HP they can’t make.

That’s part of the deal. Go read the rules. Justin61 posted the few listed in the article. As normal, it’s pretty strict.

Jelly beans, different colors , still jelly beans.
I agree within Rumblefish .. its going to be a cool class but I am afraid that if the Dodges , especially " Blackbird " come out and are fast .. it will be the same old thing like in the past , the Chevy and Ford guys will cry as usual and the Dodge will yet again get restricted into being non competitive.. it happened in Nascar, Stock , Super Stock , Pro Stock and Factory Stock .. they hate fast Mopars ! One local very good Stock Eliminator racer runs a big block Camaro in a class with small block A body Mopars .. he told me " oh yea I can't run as fast as them " I loved it !!!

Yes he can, get rid of the BB Camaro. Buy a mopar.

It’s funny how they “decide” to start a class like this about the same time the Challenger is probably getting phased out……Just “FUNNY”

I won't pass judgement on the NHRA until they do something stupid to the Mopars in the class.

In that case, grab a beer, they’ll do something stupid to the MoPars before you finish it.
