FAIRBANKS TORQUE CONV.

-
My dad bought a 62 polara. It came with a 727 trany & a Fairbanks torque converter. I would like to find info on the converter. It looks to be in good shape.

you'll need to know what one it is. They didn't just make one style. It probably has a number stamped on it but finding it while installed in the car may prove impossible.

Its out of the car. I cleaned it up & couldn't find any stampings. Just the yellow FAIRBANKS name & some light blue paint markings.

Got on there web site & they don't handle torque converters

Ever heard of this new thing called a telephone? Call them. I am sure someone there can help you figure out which converter you have. You roll over and give up way too easily. Are you a snowflake cupcake Hillary voter?

No one uses a phone anymore. The web has done real damage to customer service. And probably costs the business money in lost sales.

If I can't get you on the phone, I move on to the next dude.

What is the diameter of it, and what is it you want or need to know about it? Just because it looks like it's in good shape doesn't mean it is. Converters are a sealed unit, and until it's been cut open, you have no idea what condition the internal parts are like.
Seen a lot of rattle can rebuilds over the years. Find out what size it is and post a couple of pictures of it.
