I have a 67 Dart GT 273 without a/c and it has a 22" radiator with no fan shroud (I can assure you the shroud is missing because my fan ripped my fingernail off when I was not paying close enough attention!)

I do not require show quality or anything like that at this time, more so just something functional for safety purposes for now.

If anyone can help with either a shroud or pointing me in the direction of where I could find one, I (and my other 9 fingers) would be thankful.

Hi Bob, do you have the radiator number? Is it the original or aftermarket? Not sure if I have any A body shrouds left but peeps will need to know that info.

That shroud is reproduced. Last 3 digits of part number 614. The shroud for a slant 6 can be used also if installed upside down. That info probably doesn't help since either shroud is rare and usually priced just as high as the new reproduction.

Shrouds are meant for improved cooling and not for safety. The warning flag that says CAUTION FAN wasn't added until about 1970.

The car is in storage for winter, but I have access to it. I will check the radiator number next time I am there. My gut says it is original.

LOL.....thanks RedFish, I can have a laugh about it now. When it happened, I thought I lost my finger. I lost the grip of my screwdriver and natural reaction was to try to keep it from falling into the fan. Chalking that one up as damned lucky.

I have seen the 614 listed as a repro, but it always say 273 with A/C. Mine does not have A/C - do you know it is still fits/functions? Or, is it simply that 273's without A/C did not come with a shroud from the factory?

I appreciate the help guys-

Yeah the shrouds were part of the factory a/c package in most cases. Dealer installed a/c may not include the shroud.
A 273 Commando or formula S without a/c may or may not have a shroud. I only guess manual or automatic trans was the determining factor there.
Anyway it bolts on the same with or without a/c

I will likely order up a repro piece.

Out of respect for the hobby, as rare as the originals seem to be, I would rather leave any of those that are left for those doing factory correct resto's. My family/street cruiser just needs some help staying cool and keeping the owner's fingers in tact.

Again, thanks for the help.
