Anyone know the fastest stock bottom end 1/4 mile time for a la 318.

Im talking stock as in oil pan hasn't been removed. stock rods, stock pistons, stock crank.

anyone care to share there setups?

I have gone 12.54 sec @ 107.6mph with a junkyard stock 318.

The set up: cast crank out of a 1971 D600 truck, early 273/318 floater rods, stock bore cast pistons, heavily angled milled 360 heads, pistons eyebrowed for valve clearance. Nothing ballanced, clearanced, or measured. CR measured (the only thing I measured) 11 to 1 due to angle milling of the heads. Intake is an Edelbrock Torquer II, 750DP Holley, cam is a Comp grind XTQ281S-6. Stock pan, standard oil pump.

Everytime I fired it up, I thought I heard a fuse sizzle.......... :)

Bein's that a cast crank 318 is pretty close to a cast crank 340, I'm not sure I'd be too worried

An old friend of mine used to run his with a good shot of NoS and was around mid 11's. All stock lower end. He was(is) a good tuner and had it running very well

Not an LA, but went 11.75 in a 318 magnum in a 95 dakota. No head work, 11lbs of boost and a 50 shot of NX. Yes I know it was risky, it was a free motor.
