Sitting here ,at home ( of course) ...watching Slash of Guns and Roses ,doing a 8 minute guitar solo ,that awakening up my cranium, as I post this.
Normally I like Kiss ,Maiden, Metellica ,
Share yourself....

Went to Tampa stadium and seen the Animals Tour back in the day, love me some Pink Floyd

Ride the Lightning was my favorite Metallica album.
Best concert I went to back then was when Accept opened for the Scorpions. Loved both bands.
Scorpions are my all time favorite from the 80's.

For you this morning

That's awesome, MeMike... currently listening to the Scorpions " Lovedrive
Always somewhere , reminds me to much of a better rock band " Lyned Skynrd.." ,..come to mind....

Too much ADD this morning to figure out any direction on this question......

However, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, and Phil Collins were probably the most worn cassettes back then in the car...... I gotta slide the Beastie Boys in there though they probably won't fit your genre lol.....

that guy was more than great .

Well when I was a kid it was all things Van Halen !!
I still have a huge love for them!
I started playing guitar mostly because of eruption .
Then I heard Dokken into the fire !!
George Lynch had such great vibrato and made the guitar scream !!
I was hooked !!
So I'm also a huge Dokken fan !!
Also all things metal .
Savatage
Fates Warning
Queensryche
Saxxon
Anything with Ronnie James Dio !!
Iron Maiden
Scorpions
Judas Priest
Michael Schenker
Metal Church

So for me I was fortunate to grow up around the music biz.
My mom's boyfriend was an amp guru.
He worked on anyone from the seattle area's amps that was known.
One of the guitarists from Queensryche used to come over in his 69 gto judge Chris Degarmo.
For my 16th birthday in 87 I got to go backstage at AC/DC Queensryche at the Tacoma dome.
I also got to go to Queensryches studio and watch them rehearse for the Empire tour and play operation mindcrime in it's entirety. I think that was in 89 or 90 can't remember ?
The studio was in Redmond off willows road .
That was the best !!!

Oh I should also mention this especially since this is a mopar site !!
Rick the amp guru also made the flanger you hear in the song by Heart Baracuda!

Also, W.A.S.P. Especially like the remake of the WHO's "The Real Me". Mr. Frankie Banalie on drums, thank you!
