Not the greatest, but your favorite. Only list one. I'll start with Midway. Tremendous cast, realistic to point it's almost a documentary. Has some of my favorite actors of all time...Henry Fonda, James Coburn, Tom Selleck, hell even Larry Csonka is in it.
 
Wow, tough to pick one from the first three listed. All great flicks.
How about "Battle of the Bulge" from WWII, and "We Were Soldiers" from Vietnam?

Here's another one nobody's mentioned yet, Twelve O'Clock High.
Great movie with Gregory Peck as Gen. Frank Savage.
 
Oh come on.
Can' t pick just one.
But that one made my wife, who does not like "war movies"............... cry.
And there is not one shot fired in the movie.
