Well after measuring, cutting, welding and MORE cutting along with a few cus words part 1 is completed. I used my drop air cleaner base. My buddy welded it to the piece of metal that I bought from Home Depot to the base. I painted it and added door edge molding. I plan on sealing it with air conditioner foam and adjusting the opening in the scoop using fiberglass resin. More pics to come.

Sanded the edges of the underside of the scoop.

We originally thought that fiberglass matting would be enough but after a few attempts we put the matting on a piece of corrugated vinyl I had sitting around. We then I send the ends of the matting to the edge of the scoop. After drying we cut the hole in the vinyl and used slit vacuum line on the edges. I then attached foam rubber using loctite spray adhesive. It fit perfectly the first time. Can't wait to drive it.

is that car fast with that blower on there
It is what I call reasonably fast. Mid 11 second quarter mile times but not with the BFG tires. I have a set of M&H Racemaster tires that I use at the track. The blower has been on the engine since 1988.

looks great , even better when it's stealth

Thank you 73AbodEE. It is stealthy, the blower is driven by a 6 groove belt so it doesn't make any whining sound until your into it (the whining sound typically comes from the guy with the Mustang or Camaro in the other lane LOL). Just sometimes wish I could have kept the stock hood but I bought this as a custom made unit from Dick Landy (talked directly to him) and he used a Offenhauser dual quad manifold and welded the supercharger flange to it. The up side is he gave me the big block blower (174) for my small block, the down side was that it didn't fit under the hood. I have, however, grown to like my sixpack hood and probably wouldn't change it now.
