firewall removal

Hello,

Can anyone please give me some info on how to remove and replace a firewall on a 1972 duster? Everything has been removed. Do the fenders have to come off? I don't want to wind up cutting into something I don't need to. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just curious to why you want to change it?

Are you swapping over to a non-AC firewall and heater box?

Splice in the panel you want to change out for the AC/heater box or fill in the holes you don't want. Changing the complete firewall is a PIA...

I'd fill in the holes, use the existing heater box and remove the evaporator. Block the door shut the exposes the evaporator. Lots less work.
