Hi all! About a month ago I picked up a '70 swinger that was headed to the scrap yard the next day. It's an original FJ5 car with a 318/904 combo. Ran and drove when I bought it. Only problem is the roof is beyond repairable. Been looking for a new one, but so far no luck. There is minor rust all around the body, but the floors are mint. Overall I'm just trying to restore this thing on a budget, seeing how close I can get to factory original. Looking forward to using this site more often!

Welcome to the site. Hope you find the parts you need. I'm certain someone here will have some advice for you

Welcome!!!! Keep an eye on the Parts section. Got my fingers crossed. BTW love that year dart, Glad you can save it.

Kudos to you! So glad you're saving such a cool Mopar! Love the Swingers and that one is worthy of saving. I hope you find a roof here on FABO. Excited about following the progress.

Welcome to FABO!
It shouldn't be too hard to find a rust free roof locally, maybe try your local pick and pull.
I actually have one, but you are much too far away to make it affordable for you to ship even if i gave it to you for free........
Try messaging crackedback on here, he seems to have a lot of rust free parts or knows where to find them and is reasonable with prices, he has a good reputation on here and lives in southern California.
Good to see you saved another one from certain death, it looks pretty good to me.

As the Caretaker of a 70 Limegreen Swinger i say You have a Awesome car. Will it go back to Sublime? I still see some original green in your pics

Thanks for the info! As of yesterday I've got a lock on a new roof from him, as well as other parts. Super excited to get ahold of them
