I recently upgraded to an aluminum Master Cylinder, hoping to correct the leaking lid problem. Before I had a 2 different Manual Brake master cylinders, and both seeped fluid out of the lid. The aluminum one, with twist on caps, is doing it too!! Something is causing an incredible amount of pressure to force fluid out of the lid.

Any suggestions?

Do you really need the line lock? Every time you use it the master cylinder sees full line pressure when it is in an at rest state. It'll puke fluid every time. Unless this is a race car, lose the unnecessary hardware or learn to live with the problems like a real racer does.

Fluid level is in pic. I had not considered that is was the Line Lock. Does it cause problems only when engaged, or more randomly?

Mine would seep from the top caps as well, I went to the wreckers and grabbed a handful of caps untill I found a set that fit tighter, not a drop since.

The caps that came with it just fit sloopy.

Interesting idea. I plan on a run next week, and may try just that - thanks!
