Fly wheel!

I'm doing a setup where I can start my engine before I paint it. I have the fly wheel housing but will a slant six fly wheel take care of the work with the starter?

I will just be there so I can start the engine!

Any info?

A slant 6 flywheel will not work for 273 engine;

even if you could make it bolt in, the incorrect balance would hurt the engine.

I would paint the engine before starting, to let the paint cure.

Follow the camshaft break-in procedures, for good results.
