Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

I think the things that this thread brought to my attention are, I'm a dinosaur for my age and would not be competitive in todays bracket racing, it's good that I don't want to bracket race competitively due the above reason, and I wish I could still street race.
 
That is a fact!
Our trophy class allows everything. EVERYTHING! So I can run a '82 Mazda and then run a dragster with box/transbrake/air shifter in the next round... LOL. Like I say....
