Did you narrow the rim for a certain rim/tire combo or is it to long as/is to use ?
You can use off set wheels but it will look funny because the off set is maxed outward, if your sister is driving it a 8 1/4 would do fine you will have to reweld spring plates and set your pinion angle 0-2 degrees. You will also have to install a different poportioning valve, and drive shaft fitting so no peice of cake but worth it for me as I do all my own work and search out recycle yards for parts.

go to web site........therangerstation,com... it has all the info you need . note that the earlier rangers (drum brake ) rear axles do not need to be narrowed for an a body.......... happy hunting

got a quote for $75 to chop he housin'..if i strip it of all it's components prior

i'm sayin' i think a posi 3.73 geared rear end, with discs for $500 or so bucks is worth it..at least if the labor is done right and it'll hold..that's y i'm curious if the 2 passanger axles work..hopin' busted knuckles replies
It all comes down to rear disc the newer rear disc are wider and need narrowed, but you can use two passenger side axles and only cut one side and buy wheels to make up difference. Its about buying the right one for you, rear drum is not bad performance, and would make it easier to switch. good luck.
