Got a Ford Coil (standard FD478) and the correct connector. Am I correct in assuming the red wire is the (+) 12 volts and the green wires go to the module?

I use that coil on my 360 with the OEM Mopar distributor and a GM hei module. Works great. I just left the old Chrysler box on the fender and bypassed the resistor. No one would ever know unless I told them.

I am going to do this on my 66 dart slant six. I think you may have answered a question I have about connections on this coil. The red is Positive(+) Is this where I connect my relay to ? The Green are negative (-) Do both of these connect to the module? Thanks for your help, This forum is awesome and the knowledge of the members is impressive . Thank You in Advance

Yes the red would be powered by a relay.

The green would go to the module - the extra is not needed.

Pulled this off a Ford truck today. Going to use it to mount the coil and be my HEI conversion center.
