pull the plugs
check the dipstick for water
spin over the oil pump if the oil looks ok
check for bad gas- I'd drain and go fresh
check the compression while you have the plugs out looking for hydraulic problems
put the plugs back and dist back in
etc
check the tranny fluid
drive it home
great find
you will need crossmember and tunnel work for a 518- lots have done it - do a search
is this a "three wire" trans an 518 RH 95 and earlier (post year and check the wiring/ plug)
or later RE (more wires in the connector)?
