Freds 73 Scamp restore on a budget

Yea your right Charlie that's what I'm doing and almost got it stopped. You been doing any work? Had a few jobs but slowing down again.
Not much. Mostly working on my own stuff. Had a guy drop off a couple old chevy fenders. Guess I'm doing a 31 Chebbie

We do what we can just wish people knew what it takes to fix old parts. The price of materials keeps going up and most people have no idea how much it cost to restore cars.

Yup. Cant hardly adjust my rates fast enough to keep up with the material costs.

just got the weather report and might get hail tonight. SO everything that is my favorite toy is in the garage and gonna put me from doing any painting to the side for a day or two. Was planing on putting the wings back on the plane next weekend but still have to paint the bottom side of them.

my kids and grand kids had or annual shaving cream fight and I lost. Good times to remember and if you guys are around next time no mercy from the grand kids your had and would be fun to watch some of you get plastered. Lol. Life is good...

had new rocker panel moldings made out of stainless for the Scamp so gonna clean and polish them soon I hope.

all polished and am real happy I had them made from stainless instead of the stock ones.

plane is almost ready to fly out of my yard and get to work on my car. Took the Scamp on a 100 mile drive yesterday got the front end aligned and had lunch with a FABO member, 340 6 Pack and his wife and went to there house and checked out there cars. A 73 Challenger a 74 Duster that's a drag car and his wife has a true 70 AAR 340 6 pack Cuda. Had a great time visiting and hope to see them again soon but next time I'm buying lunch. Lol

Great glad it's running so should be ready to sell this summer I hope. Trust me there will be a next time for lunch and pizza sounds good. Lol

blacked out all the lights and still shine bright at night. Waiting for parts to finish it.
 
Just searched them. Holy ****. Them aint cheap. Should get the job done.
Yea not cheap but any place I looked was not cheap. I still have to cavity wax the inner panels and put the tail stripes on but no hurry should be done completely buy next summer. Kinda burnt out working on it and the plane.
