Freeing up a frozen block ??

-
Keep in mind that the acid in vinegar is eating away at the parts as well as the gunk they are stuck together with. I use Coca Cola which has a lower acid content mixed 50/50 with dot3 brake fluid ( not synthetic). Soak all cylinders with cylinders upright like one bank of a v8 at a time for a week. Then up side down for a week. Try turning the crank both ways daily a couple times. Tap on piston tops repeatedly with a 2x4 and a hammer or just a mallet. Duct taping a orbital sander to the side of the block also helps. Ive had engines where nothing got past the rings to free up the gunk and the piston had to be taken out with shear force.

Lots of good ideas here, thanks folks. Unless someone wants this free engine, it's going to go to the scrap yard in little pieces, not one big frozen one.

If its a lot of electrolysis Sno Bowl will eat it quickly, I use it to clean alumin carbs (hydrofluoric acid), not toxic to your skin
Sno bowl not the Snow bowl knock off

Obviously you have no idea what you're talking about.,
Well, you're willing to criticize how the man spends his time, but you ain't working on your car when you're here typing...

Just like me!

A mixture of diesel and atf.
I use 4 parts diesel to 1 part atf.

The diesel and ATF is more than the block is worth in scrap metal...
