Freiburger's Duster for sale. NOT MINE

-
welp. looks like it's time to sell my 72 duster!

the doors work and there's no peek-a-boo roof option.

exactly half the price of that. limited time only for FABO gold members and extra 10% off!

*laughs*

We currently own Steve Magnante's Hot Rod Project Duster.

It is a really clean nice car that run 10's thru the mufflers and 9' with
a small shot of Nitrous. It tied for the LVMS Track Championship last year.

We did NOT give Steve the money that is being asked for this Duster.

Just my .02 = For Free!
I saw a YouTube video on that car. I believe he did an educational video about traction With it.

My '74 Duster I recently sold for 6k was a much better car inside and out. period. However, it didn't have a 4 speed nor was it that year. But no way would I have given my car and 9k for that. NO WAY!
Your car was a deal of the decade kind of thing and it was owned by a celebrity of our own.

It has a junkyard motor that likely needs refreshing, nine inch front brakes, gauges don't work, door handles don't work, etc., etc. I've watched quite a few of his videos. His cars are not what I call well sorted. It's all fixable, but for 15K someone else can have it.
What I meant by well sorted is the stuff he fixed was done well. What he didn't fix/address is what you stated and also what he stated. However it goes down the road and is what I consider a work in progress.

IN NO WAY DID I SAY IT IS WORTH 15K and I WOULD NOT PAY 15K FOR THAT CAR.

Don't quote me and do it out of context.

What higher education did you use to come to that conclusion?

If one was interested in it, go look it over and drive it.

Make an offer, either he takes it or he doesn't.

i've watched what he has done with it in his videos. the carb still doesn't run right and that comes right from him in an episode. the engine has been beat to death. there was something with the rear end too. i forget what that was. something other then the center section.

like i said i was relally interested in the car, sent the ad to jamie laughing that it was actually for sale. she asked if we were buying it as we have the money to do so. told her after seeing the pics of all that rust and other issues i have no interest in the car any longer, especially anywhere near that price. its a disaster and money pit looking for a place to land. i'm sure some fan of his will buy it.

i have no issues with freiburger, i like his shows and he seems that he can do good work when he wants to. he seems to be able to see into the future when it comes to the next trends in the car hobby.. that mess of a duster though is pure "don't get it right, just get it running". which is fine but at that price isn't enough for me...

you seem to be really wound up over nothing. think you need to lighten up a bit.

I recall him saying that he paid $4000 for it with the non running slant six.
Add in the junkyard engine he paid $650 for, the 4 speed setup and an 8 3/4" axle. He maybe has $7000 in a $7000 car.
I don't blame a guy for looking to turn a profit but the price is stiff. Defenders will say that when negotiating, sellers can always discount the price but never raise it.
For any and all A body cars I've owned and sell, if they are 4 wheel drum I add front disc brakes and all four wheels use the same bolt pattern.

This is a story about 3 hacks with questionable talent that drive turds they try to polish. They have a captive audience of juvenile males. 2 definitely have a a credit card and support vehicles following them and the other bird; well he just as much a hack as well, I just don't know whose credit card they have

OMG, he's banking on the fact he was on TV! Other than the Magnum and the sure grip, the car is a clapped out turd. There are plenty of much better cars that can be had for the 15K Frieburger is asking.

After reading the garbage articles that Dulcich used to write for Mopar Muscle, I'd pay more for a car that hasn't been under the knife by either of those two.
That said, I find Freiburger likeable enough, I just don't care for what he does with cars or videos.

Meaning: I can't stand the crap he turns out.

While I don’t specifically recall Dulcich articles I think he is by far the sharper of the 2 . They gave him the roll of the dolt but he seems pretty knowledgeable on Mopars .

I think they are better at doing comparisons of parts on the dyno than building cars. They throw cars together just for fun and go out and beat the daylights out of them. I haven't seen any nicely restored cars done.

Yeah the 4K estimate was stupid. You caint buy most rollers for that. It was way past roller stage, but not worth 15.
Funny you should mention that exact price ($4k):
