I have a 1973 dodge dart /6 and my pump went out so I'm going to change it and I was curious how much it holds.

Generally when charging you can watch the sight glass on the drier, when it clears up you should have the proper amount of refrigerant in the system.

Charging ONLY by the sight glass is a recipe for disaster. You can easily overcharge it. READ the service manual. I used to always charge by temp/ press and superheat

There are lots and lots of conditions............very heavy cabin load, and or high OD temperatures and low airflow over the condenser, that can cause artificial conditions that make you think the charge is low (bubbles.)

if your using 134 about 2.25lbs/r12 3.00lbs does it have stock compressor/aftermarket could change about 1/2 lb.
