Friction Modifier?

Hi I'm using a Dana Powerlok and always heard that I needed to use friction modifier. Is this true or with the use of new synthetic gear oil etc. is this still necessary?

Depends on the oil. Many have the modifier already in it. Check the bottle of the oil you are using.
