Thanks for the pics...and the memories. They tore our Biff Burger down about 6 years ago to make way for a Kia dealership.

I used to run in the pure stock division at Sunshine. I also ran in the oval drags before that. It broke my heart to here the speedway closed down. Is the drag strip still open? ....Dean


P.S. I dont feel that old. That was back around 81-83.

The oval drags were great. I remember back in the early 80's a beige 69 Bee slaming the wall in between 3-4. Do you remember the night Lee Mitton put his late model over the wall when the throttle stuck. Launched that thing right out of the speedway. The 75 Dave Pletcher, 69 of Dave Scarborough, and dont forget the Myers in the figure 8 stangs.
Was it Musgrave who had the white pick up in the oval drags? and the US Mail truck. The strip is leasing the property from the state(DOT) right know. Nothing cooler but the Pro Mods on the 1/8 mile

81-83 you are a few years on me (class of 85) I didn't start going to Biffs till around 87.
