In order to install 1 7/8" fenderwell headers in my"65 Dart, I had to cut out most of the inner fenderwells. Whatever was left was not worth remaining. Does anyone have some pictures as to how they snaked the front frame connectors to their roll cage and supported the shock tower. I did some fabbing with cardboard tubes to see if I could remove the headers. Everything that I worked out did not allow the removal of the headers. I just took the car to the track and it squats and pulls the front tires off the ground with a cool and lousy track surface. I'm thinking that with good track prep, I'll yank the front end off the ground and when I land it will bend the shock towers and maybe the front end. Any thoughts and pics? Thanks

use front down tubes from the firewall to the frames up by the radiator, with braces that drop to the shock area, or, go back and find pics of the under the fender shock supports that someone on here is making and selling.

Be careful when you say that, or Rob will tell you (without even knowing what you've got) that there's NO WAY your "mild build" will carry its front wheels!

But seriously, MagnumForce has a nice forward strut kit that uses 1/4" wall tubing for the brace:

I bought one and it was sent immediately. My dealings with MagnumForce have been all good so far and I am quite happy with the kit. It's a little bit expensive (~$300), but nice and saves a lot of fabrication.

I looked at that set up from Magnum Force. My headers run in front of the frame support of the shock support. I had to do some creative dimpling in order for the #1 header pipe to fit.. That brace would need to be cut back close to where the top of the shock bolts in. It can be done from what I just saw from their website, but that long pipe might need some interesting waves to make it to the radiator area(I need to be able to remove the headers in a timely fashion). As far as the front end lift, I can conservatively see that the Dart could run a billboard on the undercarriage and pay some bills.
