I need a front timing chain cover for my 1965 273. It is for a carbureted engine with 2 fuel pump mounting, threaded holes. I have a cast iron water pump that mounts over it. I understand that these early types are aluminum alloy. Don't know the part number yet.

You will also need the separate timing marker tab as the earlier housing did not have them built in. I think 68 was the first year for the built in marker that was on the passenger side.

I have one from a 66,no pullies

Sedanman,
I'm just interested in the timing cover and the timing tab. Do you have a picture of it cleaned up? Are the fuel pump bolt threads good? Is it not corroded through? If you want to send pictures in an email attachment, see my contact information for my email address. Or, I guess we could have a private conversation; not sure how that works.
Thanks, Richard Sweet
