Anyone else wanna show off their front tire/wheel combo on their 67-69s. I've got two 15 x 5..5s and two 15 x 6.5. I'm trying to decide which set to use and what size tire to go with.

I'm going with 255/60/15s on 15 x 7s is back, and want a skinnier tire up front. I'm thinking a 205-65-15 on the 15 x 5.5s would be a good combo.

Whatcha think??

Let see what you got!!!

I'm running a 195/65R15 on a 5.5 wheel.

I LOVE the front/rear tire and wheel combo!! What type of tires are you using fron tand rear???

I was looking at running a set of BFG radial T/As for the rear and whatever their passenger car tires were for a 205/60/15 up front (because BFG doesn't make a radial TA in that size), but the guy at the tire shop said it would be bad to run TAs in back and a different type of tire up front. WTH??? I've done it all the time

They are Michelin's up front, and M/T drag radials in back. They ride very good for a forty year old car.

I know a LOT of people run T/A's, but in my experience, they tend to get hard and not hook very well. Before I went with the M/T my old hard T/A's would spin and not leave a mark on the pavement!!!

Here's a pic of mine(not the best angle) with 225/75-15's front and 235/75-15's rear.I only put them on to try,I had the tires and I made the rims,15x6.5.Didn't drive it enough before I put it away for the winter but I'd like to go 225 or 235/60 front and 245/60 rear. The fronts just look too big and rub on hard turns.
Also there's alot of awesome looking cars here and not trying to show favorites but BrianT "congrates" I've been meaning to tell you "that's one beautiful looking hot rod"

So, whats the consensus on mixing tires front/rear- meaning: Do you guys run a different brand or model tire in the front than you do in the rear. If I end up going with T/As, Cooper Cobras, or MT drag radials in the back, what would be a good matched tire for a 205/65/15 in the front since none of those tires come in that size???

BrianT- what type of Michelen are you running up front??
